State Prize for European Literature awarded to Marie NDiaye

This year, the French author Marie NDiaye receives the Austrian State Prize for European Literature, which has been awarded by the Ministry of Culture since 1965. Congratulations!

Keshavarz is one of the most prominent women's rights activists* in Iran and she is facing the death penalty. She was already arrested in 2019 and sentenced to 23.5 years in prison. Due to illness, she was released. According to her lawyer, a new case has been opened against her for "corruption on earth" and she is facing the death penalty.
