The 20th edition of the Festival (2-4 and 9-11 May) takes the quote ‘Confusion is next’ from the 1983 Sonic Youth song as the starting point for a dense programme of performative and musical positions of the present.

Music, performance, art, film and discourse. The donaufestival, which has been under the artistic direction of Thomas Edlinger since 2017, presents adventurous aesthetics and vibrations of current contemporary art over two extended weekends. Up to 20 events take place at various locations in Krems every day.
