For the first time, Daniel Amin Zaman is using the exhibition at the sehsaal to take a further step towards dissolution – in terms of the conventions of presentation and exhibition architecture. By ‘taking an existing series of works (nine bright orange works, each 120 x 100 cm, acrylic and synthetic resin on canvas) and combining them with new and thoroughly playful sculptural works, he creates an experimental installation made up of individual SONGS that nevertheless form a unified ‘polyphonic soundscape’ that has no message or meaning, but is one. As an expression of an artistic and philosophical-ritualistic practice and attitude towards a world that is currently threatening to sink into the abyss.
