The festival slogan created exactly ten years ago, "Shalom Oida" - currently supplemented by subtitles such as "Right now" or "Here. Everywhere." - is once again the poster motif of the Jewish Film Festival Vienna, and for good reason. The events in the Middle East have far-reaching effects on the perception of Jewish communities worldwide. This year in particular, the JFW aims to be a place where prejudices are broken down, common ground is sought and peace is shared.
The approximately 40 feature films, documentaries and short films at JFW24 are about people who are trying with all their might to escape terror or threats and create peace - on a political, social or private level.
