Ali Doğan Gönültaş sings and plays tembur and acoustic guitar. He is also an extremely talented arranger, artistic producer and composer. He was born in Kiğı, Eastern Anatolia, into a family for whom, like most Alevis, music is an essential way of conveying the history of his people.

The emotion in his expressive voice, the dreamy melodies of his compositions and his deep background knowledge radiate in all their splendour in his magnificent debut album "Kiğı", for which the artist conducted over ten years of field research. This album gave him access to major stages across Europe.

Before this courageous work, "Kiğı", in which he stands up for the languages and culture of silenced minorities in Turkey such as the Kurds and Armenians, Ali Doğan worked for ten years with the fascinating band Ze Tîje, worked in archaeology in Anatolia, composed music for films and still works in television with a musical focus. The production of the 2nd solo album is scheduled for spring 2024.
