Let's talk about feelings. No, not about private sensitivities, but about our shared sentiments: a growing resentment, our collective anger – but also the relaxation of a beautiful summer's day at the Donaukanal. The concept of political emotions exists on the border between the private and the collective and reflects the interaction between society and the individual. How do social processes and public events influence the private lives of specific individuals? A glossary, in turn, is not an ordinary dictionary: it is a set of notes between the lines that bring together discourses and always refer to another text.

In four short readings, the playwrights Marie-Theres Auer, Ewe Benbenek, Arad Dabiri and Ivan Strelkin present their comments on our present. Each of the texts takes a specific emotion as its starting point, attempts to describe it, fails at it, discards it and expands on it. Afterwards, there will also be an opportunity for the audience to discuss what political emotions are or could be.

The evening is also the kick-off for a series of events that will bring together new perspectives on political affect. At the end, the texts will form a common mosaic, a glossary of political emotions that will be published.
