The Moravian National Museum in Brno, Czech Republic shows a major exhibition about the great actress, mime, director, professor and theater director Nika Brettschneider.

Nika Brettschneider received political asylum in Austria as a signatory of Charter 77. Together with her husband Ludvik Kavin they founded the Theater Brett in Vienna in 1984. From 1990 Nika Brettschneider taught as an acting teacher at the JAMU in Brno, where she herself had received her acting training, and ran her own studio there. In 1997 she habilitated and was appointed lecturer, and in 2007 she received the title of professor.

Nika Brettschneider died in Vienna in 2018 after long illness.
