Noura Maan

Noura Maan studied history at the University of Vienna. She works as managing editor at DER STANDARD and is part of the foreign affairs desk. In her journalistic work, she focuses among other topics on the Middle East, US politics, and issues related to gender equality, and regularly comments on current international developments. In 2023, she co-edited the anthology “Geradegerückt – Vorverurteilt, skandalisiert, verleumdet: Wie die Biografien prominenter Frauen verzerrt werden” with Beate Hausbichler. The book examines how media and social narratives shape the public perception of women.
