Brazil's Carnaval begins on the Badeschiff! Joy, lust and vice rule! On 27 February, Célia Mara opens the colourful hustle and bustle with Retrôfolia. The programme includes the small carnival marches from 1930 to 1970, the most beautiful old sambas and rousing olodums from the 1980s.

A collective euphoria, a chance to fill up on endorphins, to give in to delirium, to dance, sing and fool around together... With her congenial musicians, Célia Mara inspires in her usual manner. Brazilian rhythm, lightness and, above all, the biting irony of the songs come together in a firework of joie de vivre.
