From 4 to 23 March 2025, the SLUP Festival will showcase the diversity of theatre productions for young people in Vienna, while also presenting remarkable national and international guest performances. It presents current global positions and innovative theatre forms for teenagers and young adults and creates a platform for artistic collaboration, networking and mutual inspiration.
The SLUP Festival presents the community productions KABALE UND LIEBE and LOTFULLAH & DIE STAATSBÜRGERSCHAFT by young directors Ebru Tartıcı Borchers and Anna Manzano from the Burgtheater. It also presents the musical theatre rebellion CONSISTENT FANTASY IS REALITY by Gaye Su Akyol, a co-production of the Vienna State Opera and the Komische Oper Berlin at NEST. Other guests include the piece IRREPERABEL by Follow the Rabbit and CITYSCAPE, a game-theatre-impro show by WUK.
