This Human World 2022

International Human Rights Film Festival

01. - 11.12.2022
In Vienna Cinemas: Schikaneder, Topkino, Gartenbaukino, Stadtkino

For the 15th time, this human world - International Human Rights Film Festival celebrates its existence from December 1 to 11, 2022. In four Viennese cinemas (Schikaneder, Topkino, Gartenbaukino, Stadtkino) and two other venues (Brunnenpassage, Brotfabrik), the audience will again be shown films that focus on human rights, current conflicts and crises on a total of ten festival days. With a selection of about 90 feature films, documentaries and short films and many Austrian premieres, political and social grievances will be highlighted in a sensitive, stirring and occasionally humorous way. Year after year, this human world strives to give a voice to those who are often overheard in our noisy, fast-paced world.

The opening of the 15th edition of this human world will take place on December 1 at 7:30 pm at Gartenbaukino with the Austrian premiere of Ta Farda (Until Tomorrow). In times when the precarious situation of women in Iran is brought to our attention on a daily basis, it is an act of solidarity to open this human world 2022 with an Iranian film with a feminist perspective. Our thoughts are with the mostly very young people who have to fear reprisals and in the worst case even death and still go out on the streets for freedom.
