Ramiro Wong is a transdisciplinary artist, living and working between Linma, Peru and Vienna, Austria. His work follows a research-based approach. Through installations and performances, he explores themes such as migration, identity construction, and the aesthetics of othering. Operating at the intersection of social practice, and material storytelling—often incorporating elements such as food, scent, sound, and other non-visual media.
Wong studied Civil Engineering with a minor in General Sciences at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, as well as a Diploma in Art Direction and Production Design for film and advertising. He earned both a BA and an MA in TransArts at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
His work has been presented at institutions such as the Museum of Art Lima (MALI), Qorikancha Museum Cusco, 21er Haus, Dom Museum Vienna, Kunsthalle Wien, and the Vienna Secession. He has also participated in international projects and residencies in Serbia, Mexico, and Lithuania, and is currently collaborating with An(other) South+, a platform that supports artists from the Global South.
